4.2. Replacement of the filtering element of the air filter

ALL ENGINES, EXCEPT ENGINES of 1,4 l, 55 I 74 kW

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew screws 5 (see rice. Details of the air filter of the petrol engine of 1,0 l, 37 kW and 1,4 l, 50 kW, rice. Details of the air filter of the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 47 kW, rice. Details of the air filter of the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kW) fastenings of a cover of the filter.
2. Raise a cover 4 air filters, without disconnecting from it a sleeve 3 or an air duct 14. If wires of sensors 17 and 19 short also do not allow to raise a filter cover, disconnect from block sensors with wires.
3. Take out the filtering element 6 of the filter case 8.
4. Wipe with a damp rag the case 8 and a cover 4 air filters from within.
5. Install the new filtering element in the case 8, then establish a cover 4 and fix it by screws 5.

ENGINES of 1,4 l, 55 I 74 kW

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the top casing of the engine (see subsection 2.1).
2. Unscrew eleven screws 5 (see rice. Details of the air filter of the petrol engine of 1,4 l, 55 and 75 kW) of fastening of the case 8 of the filter.
3. Remove the case 8 from the top casing 20.
4. Take out the filtering element 6 from the case 8.
5. Wipe with a damp rag the case 8 and a casing 20 from within.
6. Examine a sealing ring 23, laying 21 and a sealant 22. Replace the details torn, cracked or lost elasticity. Pay attention to the correct installation of a sealing ring 23, it has to settle down in a case 8 opening densely, without distortions and folds.
7. Insert the new filtering element into the case 8. Install the case 8 on a casing 20 and fix it by screws 5. Install a casing on the engine.
