4.11. Removal and installation of the vacuum pump of the diesel engine
GENERAL INFORMATION

Pumping out of fuel from the vacuum pump

Vacuum pump

1 – vacuum hose of the amplifier of brakes;

2 – bolt of fastening of the pump;

3 – vacuum pump;

4 – fuel discharge hose;

5 – fuel supply hose

The vacuum pump on the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kW is at the same time and the toplivopodkachivayushchy pump.

It is established from above, at a back end face of the engine and is put in action by the camshaft. Laying of the pump single therefore at each removal of the pump they need to be replaced.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect from the fuel filter 7 (see rice. The fuel filter of the car with the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kW) hoses of discharge 1 (blue marking) and giving 2 (white marking) fuels.
2. Pump out fuel from the vacuum pump. For this purpose connect to the pump the manual V.A.G 1390 vacuum pump with V.A.G 1390/1 tank. Pump out fuel until it does not cease to follow from a hose 2 (see rice. Pumping out of fuel from the vacuum pump). At the same time you watch that fuel did not get to the manual vacuum pump.
3. Disconnect from the pump 3 (see rice. Vacuum pump) vacuum hose of 1 amplifier of brakes.
4. Disconnect a hose of the 5th supply of fuel from the pump 3.
5. Turn off bolts 2 fastenings of the pump.
6. Remove the vacuum pump 3 from a head of the block and, having raised it up, disconnect from it a hose 4 plums of fuel.
7. Connect to the pump a hose 4 plums of fuel (blue marking) and install the pump 3 on a block head.
8. Screw bolts 2 fastenings of the pump and tighten two top bolts the moment of 20 N · m, two lower – 10 N · m.
9. Connect to the pump a hose of the 5th supply of fuel (white marking) and a vacuum hose 1.
10. Connect a hose 1 (see rice. Pumping out of fuel from the vacuum pump) fuel supply (white marking) to the fuel filter.
11. Pump over the vacuum pump. For this purpose the manual vacuum pump with a tank connect 2 plums of fuel (blue marking) to a hose. Pump over the vacuum pump until fuel does not begin to follow from a hose 2 that demonstrates filling with fuel of the vacuum pump.
12. Connect a hose 2 plums of fuel to the fuel filter.
