9.9.6. Pumping of the brake system

GENERAL INFORMATION

Sequence of pumping of liquid in brake mechanisms:

  – back right;
  – back left;
  – forward right;
  – forward left;
  – coupling drive.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Prevention

When pumping back brake mechanisms on models without ABS periodically move pressure regulator lever.


1. Check level and at необхо dimost add brake fluid in a tank to MAX tag.
2. Clear the valve of production of air of dirt and remove its protective cap.
3. Put on one end of a rubber hose the valve, ship other end in the pure transparent vessel which is partially filled with brake fluid (the end of a hose has to be shipped in liquid).
4. The assistant has to press sharply a pedal of a brake of 4-5 times and to leave a pedal pressed.
5. Unscrew the valve of production of air on 1/2–3/4 turns. Old (dirty) brake fluid will begin to follow from a hose. At the same time the pedal of a brake has to move smoothly against the stop.
6. As soon as liquid ceases to follow, wrap the valve of production of air then the assistant has to release a pedal. In the liquid following from a hose vials of air will be visible.
7. Repeat operations 4 and 5 until from the following liquid allocation of vials of air stops. Constantly you watch liquid level in a tank, without allowing its decrease MIN tags are lower, and if necessary add new brake fluid.
8. If necessary pump over other brake mechanisms and the drive of coupling.
9. On models with ABS make a trial trip during which at least ABS once has to work.
