Installation of a support on a rotary fist

1 – support;

2 – guide of blocks of a rotary fist;

Replace brake shoes in the following cases:

  – thickness of a frictional slip of less admissible;
  – the surface of slips is greasy;
  – slips are unsteadily connected to the basis;
  – on slips deep furrows and chips.
Prevention

Sets of blocks need to be replaced on both sides of a forward suspension bracket at once.

Do not apply gasoline, diesel fuel or any other mineral solvents to cleaning of brakes.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a wheel, previously having weakened bolts of its fastening on the car standing on the earth.
2. Remove protective caps 5 (see rice. The forward brake FS III mechanism) the directing fingers.
3. Turn out both directing a finger 2 (see rice. Fastening of a support of the forward brake FS III mechanism).
4. Remove a support 4 (see rice. Removal of brake shoes) from a rotary fist 1, without disconnecting from it a brake hose 5. Suspend a support on a wire to a suspension bracket spring, watching that the brake hose was not tense, it was not overwound and strongly it was not bent.
5. Take out 4 brake shoes 2 and 3 from a support.
6. Remove by means of a rubber pear a part of brake fluid from a tank of the main brake cylinder.
7. Clear a support. Especially carefully clear of a rust by means of a metal brush of an installation site of blocks, check that blocks in a support freely moved.
8. Press the piston 2 (see rice. Cave-in of the piston in the cylinder) in the cylinder 1 by means of special adaptation 3 or if it is absent, use, for example, the wooden handle of the hammer. At the same time press on the piston evenly in different points on all circle, watching that the piston did not warp.
9. Establish brake shoes according to marking. A block with white marking of "Kolbenseite" (see rice. The internal brake shoe) has to be from the inside of (the parties of the piston), from the outer side the block with black marking and a clip with three pads is established.
10. At installation of a support at first insert into a guide 2 (see rice. Installation of a support on a rotary fist) blocks of a rotary fist its lower part so that ledges of a support 1 and blocks 3 entered gearing from the different parties of a guide 2.
11. Screw the directing fingers 4 (see rice. Forward brake FS III mechanism).
12. Establish protective caps of 5 guides of fingers.
13. Establish a wheel. Finally tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel only on the car standing on the earth.
14. Similarly replace blocks in the opposite brake mechanism.
15. Several times press a brake pedal that pistons reached working position.
16. Check and if necessary add brake fluid to the required level in a tank.
