2.8. Replacement of an epiploon of the camshaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

DIESEL ENGINES

The epiploon is made of material PTFE. Before installation of an epiploon it is forbidden to grease its working edge and the camshaft.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off a camshaft drive belt (see subsection 2.4.1).
2. Holding the camshaft from a provorachivaniye, turn off bolts of 1 fastening and remove a pulley 2 camshafts (3 – the gear sector).
3. Turn off a bolt of 1 fastening of a nave of a pulley of the camshaft on two turns, holding at the same time a shaft from a provorachivaniye. At car repair shops for this purpose use adaptation T 10051 (2 – a nave; 3 – adaptation T 10051).
4. By means of a stripper 1 shift a nave 2 from a camshaft cone. Then remove a stripper, turn out a bolt of fastening of a nave and remove a camshaft pulley nave.
5. Take out an epiploon. At car repair shops for this purpose apply a stripper of sealing rings of T 30003.
6. Carefully wipe the camshaft to clear of oil and dirt. Not to damage a working edge of an epiploon, stick with an adhesive tape a flute on a camshaft cone.
7. Accurately put on a new epiploon the camshaft and press by means of a suitable mandrel against the stop.
8. Establish a nave of a pulley and tighten a bolt of its fastening the moment of 100 N · m.
4. By means of a stripper 1 shift a nave 2 from a camshaft cone. Then remove a stripper, turn out a bolt of fastening of a nave and remove a camshaft pulley nave.
9. Put on a camshaft pulley a nave, at the same time gear sector 3 (see above) has to be above. Screw manually bolts of 1 fastening of a pulley.
10. Establish a belt of the drive of the camshaft and adjust it.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off belts of the drive of camshafts (see subsection 2.4.2).
2. Holding distributive shaft from a provorachivaniye, turn off bolts of 1 fastening and remove pulleys of 2 and 29 camshafts.
3. By means of a stripper of sealing rings or having picked up the screw-driver take out epiploons 3.
4. Wipe camshafts and seats under epiploons to clear of dirt and oil.
5. Grease a working edge of new epiploons with a thin layer of engine oil.
6. Accurately put on epiploons camshafts and press against the stop by means of a suitable mandrel.
7. Establish pulleys of 2 and 29 camshafts and tighten bolts of 1 of their fastening the moment of 20 N · m in the beginning, and then tighten for 90 °.
8. Establish belts of the drive of camshafts and adjust their tension.
9. For replacement of sealing rings 28 remove the ignition module.
10. Turn off bolts of the 8th fastening and remove back covers of 7 and 11 camshafts.
11. Remove sealing rings 28.
12. Grease with a thin layer of engine oil new rings and establish them into place.
13. Establish covers 7 and 11 into place and tighten bolts of their fastening the moment of 10 N · m.
