2.4.1. Diesel engine

GENERAL INFORMATION

Camshaft pulley

1 – bolts of fastening of a pulley;

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off a generator drive belt (see subsection 2.3).
2. Remove локарь the right forward wing.
3. Turn off bolts 21 (see camshaft drive Details), holding a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye, and remove a pulley 20.
4. Turn off bolts of fastening and remove lower 19 and average 22 covers of a belt of the drive of the camshaft.
5. Remove collars and disconnect from the fuel filter hoses 1 and 2 supply of fuel. Be careful – fuel can be under pressure.
6. Remove a broad tank, without disconnecting from it hoses, and put it aside.
7. Hook on the engine a waist and pull its cables to unload engine support.
8. Turn off bolts 1 and 3 fastenings of the right support of the power unit to a body and the engine (2 – a support).
9. Turn off bolts 4 fastenings of a back support of the power unit to the transmission (see. Back support of the power unit).
10. Unfasten latches and remove the top cover 1 (see camshaft drive Details) a camshaft drive belt.
11. Lower the engine approximately by 35 mm and turn off the lower bolt of fastening of an arm 24.
12. Raise the engine approximately on 45 mm from normal situation and turn off two top bolts of fastening of an arm 24. Remove an arm for what at first turn it on an arrow A, and then lift up.
13. Lower the engine in normal situation and install the piston of the first cylinder in VMT (see subsection 2.2.2). After that it is impossible to turn cranked and distributive shaft. At car repair shops MP 1-301 adaptation, a bent shaft – T 10050 is used to latching of the camshaft.
14. Insert a key 1 into a six-sided opening of a tension roller 2 and turn a tension roller counterclockwise so that it was possible to insert a lock plate 5 (3 – the tension device; 4 – bolt of fastening of the tension device).
15. Turn off bolts 4 fastenings and remove the tension device 3.
16. Take off a camshaft drive belt.

Prevention

The tension of a belt of the drive of the camshaft can be regulated only on the cold engine.


17. Weaken an inhaling of bolts 1 (see rice. A camshaft pulley) fastenings of a pulley 2 also turn a pulley by means of oval openings clockwise against the stop.
18. By means of a special key 1 (see rice. A camshaft drive belt tension) turn the clown 2 tension rollers clockwise so that his ledge With reached against the stop Century.
19. Put on a belt a pulley of a bent shaft, then a tension roller and a pulley of the camshaft and in the last turn on a pulley of the water pump.
20. Install the tension device, tighten bolts of its fastening.
21. A key 1 turn the clown 2 counterclockwise (the ledge With turns to an emphasis And) so that it was possible to take out a lock plate 3.
22. A key 1 turn the clown 2 clockwise (the ledge With turns to an emphasis In) until the gap but does not become equal to 4±1 mm. It is convenient to check the size of a gap, using a drill with a diameter of 4 mm as caliber.
23. Holding a tension roller in this situation, tighten a nut of its fastening in two stages: the 1st – tighten the moment 20 N · m; – tighten the 2nd on 45 °.
24. Tighten bolts 1 (see rice. Camshaft pulley) fastenings of a pulley of the camshaft moment of 25 N · m. Take out devices for latching of cranked and distributive shaft if they were established.
25. Turn a bent shaft on two turns and again install the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
26. Check a gap and (see rice. Camshaft drive belt tension). If it differs the specified (4±1) mm, again adjust a gap as it was described above. Check installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
27. Establish all removed details upside-down.
