2.3. Replacement of a belt of the drive of the generator

GENERAL INFORMATION

Generator drive details (the car without conditioner)

1 – bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft;
2 – a pulley with a quencher of tortional fluctuations;
3 – bolt of fastening of the tension device;
4 – tension device;
5 – generator arm;
6, 8 – bolts of fastening of an arm;
7 – arm of the lower air duct;
9 – generator;
10 – bolt of fastening of the generator;
11 – generator drive belt

Generator drive details (the car with the conditioner)

1 – bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft;
2 – a pulley with a quencher of tortional fluctuations;
3 – bolt of fastening of the generator;
4 – generator;

8, 10 – bolts of fastening of an arm;

Prevention

If the belt is taken off not for replacement, then before removal, mark the direction of its rotation as at change of the direction of rotation the belt will quickly wear out.


The belt is replaced in the following order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Models without conditioner
1. Remove the top casing of the engine (see subsection 2.1).
2. At engines with pressurization remove collars 4 and the top air duct 6 with a hose 8 of a motor compartment (see rice. Motor compartment).
3. A key 1 turn clockwise a tension roller 6 to weaken a belt tension. Holding a roller, take off a belt (2 – the tension device; 3 – generator pulley; 4 – generator drive belt; 5 – pulley of a bent shaft).
4. Check an inhaling of bolts of fastening of the generator and tension device. Check ease of rotation of a tension roller 6 and a pulley 3 generators, they have to rotate easily, without jammings.
5. Holding the tension device 2, put on a new belt 4 pulleys of a bent shaft 5 and the generator 3 and release the tension device. The tension device will automatically pull a belt.
6. Launch the engine and check work of a belt.
Models with the conditioner
7. Remove an antisplash guard of the engine, having unscrewed the screws of its fastening shown by shooters in the drawing (see rice. Antisplash guard of the engine).
8. Turn off a bolt 3, remove collars 4 and then the lower air duct 1 with a hose 2 (see the fig. Nizhny Novgorod a pressurization air duct).
9. A key, as shown in the drawing, turn clockwise a tension roller to weaken a belt tension. Holding a roller, take off a belt.
10. Check an inhaling of bolts of fastening of the generator, compressor of the conditioner and tension device. Check ease of rotation of a tension roller and pulleys of the generator and compressor, they have to rotate easily, without jammings.
11. Holding a tension roller, put on a new belt pulleys of a bent shaft, the generator and compressor, then release a roller. The tension device will automatically pull a belt.
12. Launch the engine and check work of a belt.
