GENERAL INFORMATION

Installation of the ABS control unit
1 – control unit;
2 – a brake tube to the left forward brake mechanism;
3 – a brake tube to the right forward brake mechanism;
4, 5 – brake tubes from the main cylinder;
6 – a brake tube to the left back
to the brake mechanism;
7 – a brake tube to the right back brake mechanism;
 8, 9, 10 – holders of brake tubes;
11 – vacuum amplifier;

Prevention

In the spare part deliver not coded control units. After installation the new block needs to be coded by means of the special equipment therefore the control unit is recommended to be replaced with service stations.

New control units are filled with brake fluid therefore do not take out in advance transport caps from openings under brake tubes. Otherwise from the control unit brake fluid will flow out and the brake system after installation of the block cannot be pumped over.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the - plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Remove the top casing of the engine (see subsection 2.1).
3. On models with the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kW remove an air duct of airpressurization and a hose between an inlet pipe of the engine and the top air duct.
4. Unscrew the valve of production of air of a forward left wheel and as soon as brake fluid begins to follow from it, close the valve.
5. Enclose under the block 1 (see rice. Installation of the ABS control unit) of management of a rag, that brake fluid did not get on a car detail.
6. Put forward a clamp 2 (see rice. A block detachment from the ABS control unit) blocks and, having pulled up, disconnect a block 3 from the block of 1 management.
7. Close contacts of the control unit that on them brake fluid did not get.
8. Take out brake tubes from holders.
9. Turn off cap nuts and disconnect brake tubes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 (see rice. Installation of the ABS control unit) from the block of 1 management. Muffle openings of brake tubes and the control unit.
10. Turn off nuts of the 14 and 18 fastening of arms and remove the control unit assembled with arms 15 and 17 from hairpins.
11. Remove an arm 1 (see rice. The ABS control unit with arms), having taken out pins 3 arms 4 of pillows 2.
12. Turn off two bolts 16 (see rice. Installation of the ABS control unit) fastenings also remove the block of 1 management from an arm 17.
13. Install the control unit upside-down.
14. Finally tighten nuts of the 14 and 18 fastening of arms of the block to a body only after connection of brake tubes. Each transport cap should be taken out only connection to the block of the corresponding tube.
15. After installation code the control unit and pump over the brake system.
