GENERAL INFORMATION

Set of special fastening of a wheel ("sekretka")

Prevention

Weaken an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a wheel and tighten them only on the car standing on the earth.

Do not grease bolts of fastening of wheels – it can lead to their spontaneous otvorachivaniye during the movement.

In shops of spare parts or at Skoda service stations it is possible to get a set of special bolts of 1 fastening of wheels with a key 2 ("sekretka"). Such bolts establish on one on each wheel (instead of a regular bolt) for difficulty of unauthorized removal of a wheel. On a head of a key the code by which it is possible to order a new key in case of its loss is beaten out. Moment of an inhaling of special bolts of 120 N · m. If to put the bigger moment, it is possible to damage a bolt and a key.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the car on the flat platform and enclose persistent whetstones under wheels. If you change forward wheels, slow down the car the parking brake.
2. Open a trunk lid and cast away a niche cover.
	3. Open a cover of 1 toolbox and turn off a special fixing bolt 4. Then take out from a luggage carrier a toolbox 2 and a spare wheel 3.
	4. Insert a special wire stripper 2 into a cap opening 4 wheels, pass throughout it a balloon key 1 and, оперев a key on the tire 3, pull off a cap from a wheel. On models with cast wheels take off protective caps from heads of bolts of fastening of wheels.
5. A balloon key weaken an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a wheel. Perhaps, for this purpose it is necessary to make big effort.
6. Establish a jack and lift the car (see subsection 1.49).
7. Finally turn off bolts of fastening and remove a wheel.
8. Establish a spare wheel. Screw bolts of fastening of a wheel, without tightening them it is final.
9. Lower the car on the earth and evenly on diagonal tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the moment of 120 N · m.
10. Check pressure in tires and if necessary bring to norm.
Prevention Repair the replaced wheel whenever possible quicker.
