GENERAL INFORMATION

Washer reservoir arrangement

1 – rechargeable battery;

2 – washer reservoir stopper;

3 – washer reservoir

The rechargeable battery 1 is installed in a plastic casing in podkapotny space on the left side.

Prevention

Handle with the rechargeable battery with care: sulfuric acid is a part of electrolyte. Immediately wash out the electrolyte drops which got on details of the car or open parts of the body water with soap, and then wash away a large amount of clear water.

During charging of the rechargeable battery you do not smoke and do not use naked flame.

At removal of the rechargeable battery at first disconnect a wire from the - plug, and then from the + plug. Connect wires to plugs of the rechargeable battery upside-down.

Do not allow heating of the rechargeable battery sunshine.

By preparation for winter operation completely charge the rechargeable battery as the discharged battery can freeze even at a small negative temperature.

Shutdown and connection of the rechargeable battery
Prevention

It is forbidden to disconnect a wire from the - plug of the rechargeable battery at the working engine or the included ignition – it can lead to failure of the electronic equipment.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Wring out in the parties plastic loops 2 and cast away the block of 1 safety locks closed by a cover (3 – the rechargeable battery; 4 – + plug of the rechargeable battery; 5 – - plug of the rechargeable battery; 6 – latch).
2. Weaken an inhaling of a nut of 1 fastening of a tip 3 wires to the - plug of the rechargeable battery (2 – a bolt).
3. Disconnect a wire tip from the - plug.
4. Take a tip aside that it could not concern the plug.
5. At connection of a wire tighten a nut of 1 fastening so that the tip 3 could not be shifted from the plug by effort of a hand.

Check of level of electrolyte

Periodically check electrolyte level in the rechargeable battery as at operation it decreases because of evaporation of the water which is its part. Level has to be between the marks MIN and MAX in the battery case. At lowering of the level of electrolyte to the mark MIN or add the distilled water to the mark MAX below, having turned out traffic jams.

Check of density of electrolyte

Density of electrolyte can be measured only in two hours after adjustment of its level: water has to mix up with electrolyte. For check completely insert the areometer into an opening against the stop and select electrolyte by means of a pear that the float of the areometer emerged. Division on the float which is at the level of electrolyte shows its density. As density depends on electrolyte temperature, it is necessary to make the amendment to result of measurements.

On density it is possible to judge degree of the category of the battery (see the tab. Electrolyte density at a temperature of 25 °C, g/cm3). If density is lower than norm or differs in banks more than on 0,02 g/cm3, it is necessary to recharge the rechargeable battery. After check merge electrolyte from the areometer in bank of the rechargeable battery.

Charging of the rechargeable battery

Prevention

If at recharge of the rechargeable battery you do not remove it from the car, surely disconnect both wires from its plugs.

Before charging remove the rechargeable battery from the car, otherwise the "begun to boil" electrolyte can be splashed out on a body and details of the car.

For battery charging use charging or the charging starting arrangement according to the instruction attached to it.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Wipe the rechargeable battery from dirt, especially its top part on which there can be electrolyte traces.
2. Turn out all traffic jams of cans and connect charger wires to battery plugs, observing polarity, then turn on the charger.
3. Establish force of charging current, equal 0,1 capacities of the battery (for the battery with a capacity of 55 And · h – 5,5 A; with a capacity of 65 And · h – 6,5 A, etc.). During charging periodically correct force of charging current.
4. During charging regularly check temperature and density of electrolyte. If temperature of electrolyte exceeds 40 °C, reduce charging current twice or interrupt charging and let's electrolyte cool down to 27 °C.
5. If within two hours density rough "boiling" of electrolyte does not change and began, so the battery is completely charged. At first switch off the charger, then disconnect wires from battery plugs.
6. Measure electrolyte density in all banks. If it more norm, select a rubber pear a part of electrolyte from banks and add the same volume of the distilled water. If density of electrolyte is less than norm, select a part of electrolyte and add as much electrolyte with a density of 1,40 g/cm3 (see the tab. Approximate norms of adjustment of density of electrolyte). After that again connect the charger and charge the battery within 30 min. Again measure density of electrolyte and if necessary bring it to norm as it is specified earlier.
