11.8.10. Removal and installation of a heater

GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal of the right support of an arm of the dashboard

1 – right support;

2, 4 – bolts;

3 – adapter of the lower air duct

Fastening of an air duct of an obduv of legs of the driver

1 – bolt of fastening of an air duct;

2 – air duct of an obduv of legs of the driver;

3 – control unit of the Comfort system;

4 – bolt

Fastening of a heater on the right side

1 – dashboard arm;

2 – bolt;

3 – connecting block of the additional resistor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire from the - plug of the rechargeable battery.

2. Merge liquid from the cooling system of the engine or press taking away 1 and bringing 2 (see rice. Connection of hoses to a heater radiator) heater radiator hoses (if the radiator of a heater is removed for replacement, it is necessary to merge liquid).

3. From a motor compartment mark the provision of a branch pipe 4 radiators of a heater and turn off a bolt of the 5th its fastening. Take out a branch pipe and together with hoses put aside.

4. Muffle openings in a heater radiator.

5. Remove the floor console.

6. Remove the dashboard (see subsection 11.6).

7. Remove an air duct 24 (see rice. Heater elements) obduva of a windshield.

8. Remove воздуходув 6 central snuffled.

9. Disconnect a plait of wires from a support 1 (see rice. Removal of the right support of an arm of the dashboard) of an arm of the dashboard and "mass" wire.

10. Turn off two top 4 and one lower 2nd bolt of fastening and remove the right support of 1 arm of the dashboard.

11. Remove an adapter 3 lower air ducts.

12. Disconnect a block 4 (see rice. Removal of the fan of a heater) with wires from the heater fan.

13. Remove the control panel of a heater, having disconnected from it a block with wires and drive cables (see subsection 11.8.7).

14. Turn off a bolt 1 (see rice. Fastening of an air duct of an obduv of legs of the driver) fastenings also remove an air duct 2 obduv of legs of the driver.

15. Shift an arm of fastening up and remove it with the block 3 managements of the Comfort system (if it is established) from a heater casing.

16. On models with the electric heating element 2 (see rice. A heater radiator) disconnect a block 11 with wires from a plait on the left side of a heater and a "mass" wire 10.

17. Turn off three bolts 4 (see rice. Fastening of an air duct of an obduv of legs of the driver) fastenings of a heater on the left side.

18. Disconnect a block 3 (see rice. Fastening of a heater on the right side) from the additional resistor of a heater.

19. Turn off two bolts 2 fastenings of a heater on the right side.

20. Remove a heater from the car.

21. Establish a heater upside-down. Before installation of the dashboard check correctness of work of a heater. Establish branch pipes according to earlier made marking, having densely inserted them into a sealant on a front board.

22. Check level and if necessary add cooling liquid (when replacing a radiator of a heater fill in new liquid in the engine cooling system).
