8.4.3. Installation of the steering mechanism

GENERAL INFORMATION

Details of the steering mechanism (steering without amplifier)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check and, if necessary, adjust the provision of a lath of the steering mechanism (see subsection 8.4.4).

2. Grease with soap solution a pillow 7 (see rice. Details of the steering mechanism (steering without amplifier)) support of the steering mechanism to facilitate installation on it a fixing bracket 8.

3. Install the steering mechanism 12 (see rice. Fastening of the steering mechanism on the car (without amplifier)) on a beam of the 11th lobby of a suspension bracket also screw new bolts of the 7th his fastening, finally without tightening them.

4. Check correctness of installation of a sealant 9 (see rice. Details of the steering mechanism (steering without amplifier)) on the case of the steering mechanism.

5. Carefully lift a beam and fix it, having entered at the same time into a front board opening a shaft of a driving gear wheel of the steering mechanism.

6. Tighten the corresponding moment bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism to a beam of a forward suspension bracket the corresponding moment.

7. Connect steering thirsts for rotary levers.

8. Attach a back support 10 (see rice. Fastening of the steering mechanism on the car (without amplifier)) the power unit to the transmission two new bolts 9.

9. On models with the reception pipe of the muffler passing under a beam of a forward suspension bracket establish a reception pipe with converter.

10. Establish an antisplash guard and forward wheels.

11. Lower the car on wheels.

12. Put on a fork of 1 cardan hinge a shaft of a driving gear wheel of the steering mechanism and record a fork a new coupling bolt 2.

13. Insert into a front board opening a sealant 9 (see rice. Details of the steering mechanism (steering without amplifier)). Make sure that it settled down exactly and densely.

14. Establish a casing 2 (see rice. Fastening of a casing of the driveshaft of a steering column) the driveshaft of a steering column also fix it by two plastic nuts 1.

15. Check and, if necessary, adjust the angles of installation of wheels.
