6.4. Replacement of knots of the muffler in collecting (the resonator or the muffler)
GENERAL INFORMATION

Tags on a muffler pipe

1 – muffler pipe;

2 – resonator;

3 – connecting plug;

And, In, With – tags on a pipe

The muffler assembled represents non-demountable knot, but if necessary it is possible to replace the muffler or the resonator separately.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Cut a muffler pipe at right angle on an average tag And.
2. Remove the replaced knot (the resonator or the muffler).
3. Accurately clear end faces of pipes of agnails.
4. Install on the car new knot with the connecting plug 3. For convenience of work it is recommended to have coupling bolts of collars of fastening of the connecting plug heads down.
5. Expose end faces of the connecting plug on extreme tags In and With on pipes on both sides.
6. Check and if necessary level system of release (see subsection 6.2).
7. Expose the muffler in horizontal position and evenly tighten coupling bolts of collars of fastening of the connecting plug.
