9.10.1. Check of an electrical wiring of ABS

GENERAL INFORMATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before check check safety locks and faulty replace. Then switch off ignition and disconnect everything consumers of the electric power (headlights, the radio tape recorder, the fan, etc.).
2. Remove the top casing of the engine (see subsection 2.1).
3. Put forward a clamp of a block and, having pulled up, disconnect a block from the control unit.
4. For check of a power-supply circuit of the hydraulic pump ABS connect at the switched-off ignition the voltmeter (a limit of measurements not less than 20 V) to contacts 1 and 2 blocks.
5. The voltmeter has to show tension approximately equal to tension of the rechargeable battery. Otherwise check wires from contact 1 to "weight" and from contact 2 to the block of safety locks.
6. For check of a power-supply circuit of electromagnetic valves connect at the switched-off ignition the voltmeter (a limit of measurements not less than 20 V) to contacts of the 5 and 6 block.
7. The voltmeter has to show tension approximately equal to tension of the rechargeable battery. Otherwise check wires from contact 5 to "weight" and from contact 6 to the block of safety locks.
8. For check of a power-supply circuit of the ABS control unit connect at the switched-off ignition the voltmeter (a limit of measurements not less than 20 V) to contacts of the 23 and 5 block.
9. The voltmeter has to show tension approximately equal to tension of the rechargeable battery. Otherwise check wires from contact 5 to "weight" and from contact 6 to a conclusion "15".
10. For check of the switch of a signal of braking connect at the switched-off ignition the voltmeter (a limit of measurements not less than 20 V) to contacts 5 and 32 blocks.
11. The voltmeter has to show tension less than 1 Century. If tension has other value, check the braking signal switch, and also wires from contact 5 to "weight" and from contact 32 to the braking signal switch.
12. Then press a brake pedal. The voltmeter has to show tension approximately equal to tension of the rechargeable battery. Otherwise check the corresponding safety lock.
13. For check of the ASR switch connect at the switched-off ignition the voltmeter (a limit of measurements not less than 20 V) to contacts of the 5 and 27 block. Include ignitions and ASR. The voltmeter has to show tension approximately equal to tension of the rechargeable battery.
14. Then switch off ASR. The voltmeter has to show tension less than 1 Century. Otherwise check wires from contact 5 to "weight" and from contact 27 to the ASR switch, and also the ASR switch.
