8.4.2. Removal of the steering mechanism

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Establish a steering wheel 1 in the situation corresponding rectilinear the movements of the car. It is recommended to record a steering wheel, for example, an adhesive tape 2.
Prevention During repair it is forbidden to turn a steering wheel as the mechanism of a safety cushion can fail.
2. Turn off two plastic nuts 1 (see rice. Fastening of a casing of the driveshaft of a steering column) fastenings of a casing 2 driveshafts of a steering column also remove a casing.
3. Turn off a coupling bolt 4 (see rice. Fastening of a shaft of a steering column to a shaft of a driving gear wheel of the steering mechanism) forks of the cardan hinge.
4. Remove a fork 2 cardan hinges from a shaft of 1 driving gear wheel of the steering mechanism up.
5. Remove an antisplash guard and forward wheels.
6. On models with the reception pipe of the muffler passing under a beam of a forward suspension bracket remove a reception pipe with converter.
7. Disconnect a back support 10 (see rice. Fastening of the steering mechanism on the car (without amplifier)) the power unit from the transmission, having turned off two bolts of the 9th fastening.
8. Disconnect tips of both steering drafts from rotary levers (see subsection 8.4.1).
9. Establish a reliable support under a beam of a forward suspension bracket.
10. Turn off bolts of the 8th fastening of the steering mechanism to a beam of the 11th lobby of a suspension bracket.
11. Lower a beam of a forward suspension bracket (see subsection 7.2.5).
12. Remove the steering mechanism.
